MMM Corones

Das MMM Corones ist das letzte der 6 Museen des Messner Mountain Museum Projekts und befindet sich auf dem Gipfel des Kronplatzes in 2275m Höhe. Das Gebäude wurde von Zaha Hadid, bekannt für ihre freie Architektur, realisiert. Sie wählte Beton als das Baumaterial, das am besten zum Thema Feld und Berg passt, sowohl in Bezug auf das Aussehen als auch auf die Haptik. Der größte Teil des Gebäudes wurde unterirdisch angelegt, um die Auswirkungen auf die Landschaft so gering wie möglich zu halten. Und die Aussicht am Rande des Kronplatzes ist spektakulär.

The MMM Corones is the final one of the 6 museums of the Messner Mountain Museum project and is located on the top of Kronplatz at 2275m. The building was realized by Zaha Hadid, known for her free-form architecture. She chose concrete as the building material that best fits the theme of field and mountain, both as regards look and feel. Most of the building was located underground in order to minimise the impact on the landscape. And the view is spectacular on the edge of Kronplatz.
